Summer Activities

Delta Cottages organizes a guided walk along the forest. If you are fond of berry and mushroom picking, then this spot will perfectly suit you! We also organize a daily two-hour cruise along the lake Pühajärvi. Sauna lovers can relax in our sauna located on the beach. In addition, you can rent motorboats, canoes, bicycles and nets for ball games. We also offer a birdwatching tour during spring and autumn.

Winter Activities

During winter Delta Cottages organizes snowmobile safari on well-equipped tracks. Moreover, cottages are surrounded by good skiing trails. Our company offers cross-country skis with boots, skates and snowmobiles for rent. Those, who are into skiing, can visit three skiing complexes which are located less that hour’s drive from our cottages. Team sport lovers can play ice hockey on the frozen lake Pühajärvi.

Aquapark

Enjoy family time in Pajarinhovi aqua park and Kitee zoo. PajarinHovi Aquapark is a perfect place for family. In aquapark you will find different pools, including the pool with massage tools, hot tubs and Finland's largest swimming world for children. Moreover, there are various slides, Finnish sauna, hamam and steam sauna. Spend a day relaxing in spa complex of Pajarinhovi and be in harmony with body, mind and soul.

Fishing

Fishing is available all year long! In Pühajärvi lake you can catch quite a number of fish: pike, bream, perch, chub, trout, and whitefish. You can fish right off the pier or from the boat, a few dozen meters from the shore. Moreover, ice fishing will leave unforgettable experience on true connoisseurs of excellent fishing, while a great catch will be the deserved reward for fishermen’s patience and endurance!

Zoo

Kitee Zoo is located right next to Delta Cottages. The zoo is known to be the fourth largest in Finland and there are about 50 species and 200 animals from Riku-bear to the yaks. You will find not only Finnish animals, such as bears and lynxes, but also the exotic ones. Interestingly, Kitee zoo is the only zoo in Finland that has yaks. Birds and animals are provided with natural habitat in Kitee zoo.

Our cottages are located in the picturesque village Palausniemi. Cottages are perfect not only for quiet vacation seekers, but also for active vacations. Booking details

Please note that all cottages are private property. Below you will find the information about the Delta Cottages renting conditions.

The price includes cottage rental, boat rental, sauna (which is located in the cottage), firewood, brazier and final cleaning. Bed linen, Wi-fi access, sports equipment, fishing, as well as fishing equipment, sauna on the shore are for additional fee.

Cottages are well-equipped and meet the needs of tourists: there are kitchen amenities. Before checking out, guests should leave the cottage in a neat form, dishes should be washed and the trash should be taken out. The yard should observe proper order.

The number of guests is limited to the number of beds and can not exceed 8 people. Minimum cottage rental period is 3 days (2 nights) from Friday 15.00 until 20.00 Sunday. During the high season cottages are rented from Friday to Friday.
